Motorcyclist Killed In South Jersey Crash: Njsp

A 60-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he veered off a Cumberland County road and struck a tree and utility pole, authorities said.

William Rannels, of Fairfield Township, was riding a Honda motorcycle eastbound on Back Neck Road in Fairfield at about 7 p.m. Sunday, April 14 when he ran off the roadway, New Jersey State Police said.

Rannels sustained fatal injuries, State Police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
